This year we did not get the trailer out as much as we wanted to. It’s nice having it safe at home between trips, at least. It hasn’t really needed any work lately, so it just waits patiently for it’s next adventure. First trip of the year didn’t happen until June! With an Oregon Unit […]
I had a really fun year exploring art. I loved art as a kid, but it is not something I could really pursue with my chaotic upbringing. So it has been really nice to have room to get back to it. With my art/music room setup, I finally have space to spread out and do […]
I’ll start by saying we did not get the trailer out nearly as much as we wanted to this year. Things like the kitchen remodel ate up a few precious weekends. It just seemed like a lot of this and that kept us from venturing out much. But we got it out three times. First […]
When we bought our house ten or so years ago, everything in it worked, and there was really no reason to go messing around with stuff that was perfectly functional. Over the years we have replaced the stove, and the fridge, and the dishwasher. The one thing that remained was the cheap, ugly, brown countertop. […]
Ok, back to the Offroad Miata I mentioned back on the Camaro post. So I’ve built the suspension of the Jeep Wrangler, and the interior/body of the Miata, and they actually look like they are going to fit together ok. No engine, but I cut out a headlight cover for a little ‘winky’ action. Now, […]
Absolutely amazing photos! Yes that first one is what photographers call a “Money Shot”. It's incredible!
And I also really like the little girl cheek-to-cheek with her alpaca. Their eyes draw me in!
And the boy doing the sideways glance, kind of annoyed, made me laugh! Good for you for capturing so many emotions and special moments that day.
And my jaw dropped at seeing how high that pole was for that alpaca to jump….it's the same height as the pasture fence! I wouldn't be encouraging my critters to jump that, lest they think about escaping their yard. gah!
But good for you for capturing that awesome mid-flight moment!
Oh! And I just love that gorgeous suri llama. Such a beautiful color and so well groomed, too!

Ooops! I went back to admire your photos again and realized that was a llama jumping that high pole. Such a little, petite, polka dot llama, too.

Thanks for the compliments! Yes, the kids love the high jump, but that has led to some problems with llamas that decide to hop out of their fenced pasture to go looking for greener grass!
I thought the cheek-to-cheek shot came out fantastic too. I was looking for candid shots and she wanted to pose, so I let her. Turned out very nice 🙂
